No religion, any religion, has any relevance in the 21st century. By rejecting it, we make an act of humility – there’s an irony for you – by being mature and bright enough to take responsibility for our own life. Religion keeps us in serfdom by guilt, control by guilt. We are not serfs. We have a’god’-given brain and we must use it to survive as sentient human beings. Elsewhere today I saw a pic of Isqof Cremona in all his regalia. Talk about anachronistic! Does he not realise how he/they ridiculous they look. A popular quip like ‘get a life!’ has no greater resonance than rejecting a mumbo jumbo that wraps the fear of death in cotton-wool(the very reason why mumbo jumbo exists). But does it deliver? Like hell it does! Come on clever dick, prove that we rise from the dead, blah blah blah. Jesus did, you say? How do you know? What’s your source?
